The Question:  How do we showcase 5 different University of Minnesota campuses all from one location?

The answer:  Virtual Production. 

This technology, featured in movies and TV shows like The Mandalorian, transported our subjects to different environments using Unreal Engine’s 3D software on an LED volume wall. These dynamic backgrounds responded in real time to camera movements and lighting - allowing us to film everything from a single location in Minneapolis. This technology is a game changer.
